Caulking

Submitted by DannyPritchard on Sat, 05/08/2010 - 15:25.
Now that the weather has warmed up and we are able to go outside comfortably it is a good time to check the caulking on your home. Look at the caulking around the windows, doors and siding joints. If it is cracked or has shrunk you should re-caulk those areas. Also check any thru wall penetrations where water could enter the home that may be in need of some caulking. A well maintained caulk joint could save you hundreds possibly thousands of dollars in repair costs if water intrusion was to occur.
