What is Inspected
A home inspection is a visual nondestructive examination of the readily accessible systems and structure of your home from the roof to the foundation. It is not a warranty or insurance program but a means to help you understand the condition of the home you plan to purchase. The inspection includes but is not limited to the following items:
Crawlspace
Roof
Exterior
Attic
Electrical System
Plumbing System
HVAC System
Interior
Insulation and Ventilation
Fireplace

All homes have problems. What is important to understand is how serious are those problems. I can help you understand the important issues about your home and what is involved in correcting those issues.

You are encouraged to be present at the walk through at the end of the home inspection. This is the time when you will be shown what was discovered during the inspection. I can explain the problems and you can see for yourself what will be in the report. This will also allow me to answer any questions you may have about the home and condition of the property.
Take the ASHI Virtual Home Tour to learn about common problems usually found during a home inspection:

Your report is a computer generated narrative style report that is easy to understand. The report will be emailed to you the day following the inspection along with any pictures taken of the home.
While some other home inspectors offer WDO (Wood Destroying Organism) inspections as an added service with the home inspection, Precision Inspections does not. I feel that hiring a pest control company to do a WDO inspection versus the home inspector gives the client better value for their money. Now there are two inspectors looking out for the interests of the client instead of just one.
SHOULD I GET AN INSPECTION PRIOR TO LISTING MY HOME?
A pre-listing home inspection should be one of the first things you do after deciding to sell your home. No matter how well you maintain your home there could be problems that you as the homeowner do not know about.
Finding any hidden problems and correcting them prior to the buyers home inspection is beneficial. Most buyers expect there to be a few minor problems with a house. If a major problem is discovered during the buyers home inspection it could cause the buyers to back away from the deal even if you agree to have it fixed.
You can have a complete home inspection or have a prelisting inspection. The prelisting home inspection covers the exterior, roof, plumbing, hvac and electrical systems which does not cost as much as a typical inspection.
